After upgrading Veeam Backup and Replication to V12 you will have the option to upgrade the backup chains as well to a “true” per vm backup chain with individual metadata files. I will show you the process in my video below.
Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 version 7 has just been released and in this video I want to walk you trough the upgrade process and what to expect. The additional integration with Veeam ONE is very interesting and I will show you how that works as well in this video.

If you also have Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 running you know it is not possible to use that Hardened Repository on the Veeam Backup and Replication server. Luckily there is a workaround to still use that Hardened Repository and keep the data from that Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 server immutable and secure on your own infrastructure.
